Material Art Fair
Mexico City | 5-8 FEB | Booth D13
Galleria Macca is pleased to announce its participation to the 12th edition of MATERIAL ART FAIR in Mexico City, 5-8 February 2024, for the sixth time in its Main Section. Our booth (D13) will feature a solo presentation by Omar Rodríguez-Graham (b. 1978, Mexico; lives and works in Mexico City).
Over the last few years, Rodríguez-Graham has developed a body of work that crystallises in monumental canvases designed to physically and emotionally plunge the viewer in an explosion of light, colour, and form, resuming its connection with abstractionism. Cleared from the strict discipline of structured and sequential design, Rodríguez-Graham's works reveal an "esprit de finesse" - a deeply emotive dimension in his paintings. This does not imply a spontaneous or irrational approach; rather, it emphasises the artist's ability to saturate his methodical process with an intense emotional harmony.
Our booth presentation consists of an overview of new works ranging from 2023 until present days, comprising of small and large paintings and drawings, and a mosaic.
